FAQ

About painting works

  • Can I mix different products if they are both water-based or solvent-based?

Whether it is water-based or solvent-based, the resin composition and components are different depending on the product. Different products have different compatibility, so never mix them.
  • Can I mix different colours if they are the same product?

It depends on the product, so please contact your nearest sales office for details.
  • Is the consumption the required amount of paint to apply at one time?

It will be the total amount you need. For example, if the number of coats is 2, it means the amount required for the entire 2-coat process.
  • In addition to the standard colours, is a special colour available by colour mixing and matching?

If the product is shown as "Wide range" in the product information on our website, the special colour is available. If the product is shown as "Colour: Standard colour XX colours", the special colour is not available. Please choose from the standard colours. For a special colour, the material cost will be relatively high.
  • For the application, which one do you recommend, by spray or by roller?

There is a difference in workability.
The application speed by spray is faster with seamless finish, but the paint splatters around a lot. If you do not properly protect the surroundings when painting, it will cause trouble and inconvenience to neighboring residents.
On the other hand, roller application requires more time for application, but it is less likely to scatter. It is suitable for high places and areas where houses are densely built.
  • How can I temporarily repair a cracked surface?

Smaller hairline cracks don't necessarily require immediate repair. If cracks become serious and occur from the substrate, dig a slightly larger U-shaped groove along the cracks and fill it with sealant to increase water resistance.
  • Can I apply undercoat on a damp wall? How can I judge the dryness of the substrate?

If the substrate is concrete, it is important to remove any deposits and dry out the substrate. As a guideline, the moisture content should be 10% or less.
